The Techniques and Tools We Use:

All team members, other than in the Oncology Registry, must consistently receive 97% or greater data element match upon secondary full case review by a tenured clinical data specialist on the project. Oncology Registry team members must consistently receive 95% or greater data element match which is higher than the industry standard.

  • Pre-submission Review – analysis of cases in aggregate prior to submission using tools such as the Data Quality Report (DQR) or other bulk reporting systems, best practice to complete pre-submission review weekly
  • Ongoing Treatment Grid, Data Completeness Audits, Industry Standard Case Edits

In-process reviews

Users of Q-Centrix’s propriety software packages will benefit from additional real-time, in-application mistake proofing features, data interfacing for pre-population and enhanced reporting and analytics features.

Sampled Reviews

  • Risk-based sampling at different levels across all partners & clinical data experts.
  • Sampling is executed by a sophisticated algorithm
  • Ongoing Inter-Rater Reliability (IRR) – Full case review with expectation of 97% or greater data element match
  • Critical Element Review (CER) – A review of the most critical data elements. For Oncology, this is utilized to satisfy our CoC Accredited Oncology partners Standard 6.1 Quality Data Review.

Event-based case reviews

  • Focused Reviews – targeted case review by project leadership experts
  • Specific Element Reviews – requested secondary reviews by the clinical data specialist when there is uncertainty empowers our team to raise their hand with questions and ensure best in class data integrity
  • Fallout/Exception/Occurrence Review – supplemental sample may be triggered by case element(s) that are outside acceptable or best practice ranges set by the governing body.
  • Metric reported in the Q-Card capturing the percentage of cases impacted by the following quality checks:
    • Greenlighting/Initial IRR
    • Focused Reviews
    • Specific Element Reviews
    • Fallouts/Exception/Occurrence Reviews
    • Sampled Reviews (Ongoing IRR and CER)
